Cure Your Burnout
Reclaim your Energy and Transform your Work-Life Balance
Between employee shortages, hybrid workplaces, and high-demand workplaces, it’s no wonder burnout has become a chronic complaint amid the workforce. Signs of burnout can include:

Dragging yourself to work
Feeling exhausted or tired
Getting sick more often
Finding it hard to focus at work
Feelings of self-doubt and helplessness
When we feel this way, it affects our work performance and our ability to interact in our home life. If you’re a leader, the impact can be even greater in that you could be spreading these feelings. Not only that, when a leader is feeling burned out, they typically have been running from meeting to meeting, working late or on weekends, losing their cool, and displaying other, less than ideal behaviours. Team members will see this as success, copy these behaviours, and continue the burnout cycle.

What Causes the Burnout?
While some burnout is caused by too much work and can be a result of a tough season, chronic burnout is usually caused by doing the WRONG TYPE of work. The cure is as simple as understanding your geniuses!
The 6 Types of Working Genius
The 6 Types of Working Genius is a productivity tool that helps you determine what type of work brings your joy and what type of work brings you frustration. All work, whether it’s designing and launching a new product or planning a family vacation, has six steps.

Wonder – Asking a question like, “Why did we put this here?”
Invention – Creating something from nothing.
Discernment – Using your gut instinct to determine if it will work or not.
Galvanizing – Getting everyone excited and moving on the work.
Enablement – being the first to volunteer to help.
Tenacity – making sure all tasks and details are complete.
When work flows through these six steps in order, then it flows smoothly and great results are achieved, but when a step is missed, then ideas fall flat, no one buys in, and details are missed.
Discover your Geniuses

Everyone has:
2 Geniuses: Work that energizes and brings joy.
2 Competencies: Work you can do but doesn’t energize you.
2 Frustrations: Work that drains or frustrates you.
Burnout happens when you spend too much time on Competencies and Frustrations. Shifting your focus to your Geniuses can reenergize you and help cure burnout.
Why it Matters

Understanding the Working Geniuses of both your professional and personal teams can lead to:
